The incrustation of silver is a working technique of this metal that continued to be developed in the time of the Viceroyalty of Peru, being an operation similar to the joint, with the difference that the ornamental parts are introduced on the surface and solidified by hot embedding, without having to resort to welding.

This technique is still used today in Peru.
