Ingrid Thulin (Sollefteå, January 27, 1926-Stockholm, January 7, 2004) was a Swedish actress.

As a child, she received ballet lessons and was accepted by the Royal Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Art in 1948.

For years he worked with the Swedish director Ingmar Bergman, with whom he developed his personal style acting with neurotic intensity in feature films such as The Silence (1963) and Cries and Whispers (1972), which would make her the third internationally famous Swedish actress (after Greta Garbo and Ingrid Bergman).

During his last years he lived in Rome, but would return to Sweden for medical treatment. He died of cancer in Stockholm in 2004, shortly before his 78th birthday.
