Contenido Iceland is represented at the Olympic Games by the Icelandic Sports and Olympic Association, a member of the International Olympic Committee since 1935.
It has participated in 21 editions of the Summer Olympic Games, its first presence taking place in Stockholm 1912. The country has obtained a total of 4 medals in the summer editions: 2 silver and 2 bronze.
In the Winter Olympic Games it has participated in 19 editions, being Sankt-Moritz 1948 its first appearance in these Games. The country has not won any medal in the winter editions.
