Ibon Gutiérrez Fernández
Ibon Gutiérrez Fernández (Bilbao, Vizcaya, July 10, 1984) is a Spanish former soccer player who played as a midfielder.
He is the second cousin of former Real Madrid international footballer, José María Gutiérrez "Guti".
Career
He played since 1997 in the lower categories of Athletic Club. In the 2005-2006 season he became part of the first team. He debuted on July 2 in an Intertoto Cup match against CFR Cluj. His debut in the First Division was on August 27, 2005, in the Athletic Club 3-0 Real Sociedad match with Mendilibar. In that same season he was loaned to Club Deportivo Numancia, after the arrival of Javier Clemente to the bench, which discarded the player.
In the summer of 2006 he was loaned to Club Deportivo Castellón of the Second Division. There, he spent two seasons without establishing himself as a starter (42 games). In 2008 he signed for Albacete, where he played 21 games. In 2009 he signed for Second B Alicante, a category in which he would continue playing until 2017 in clubs such as Alavés or Sestao River. His best years were spent at Sant Andreu, where he was the undisputed starter playing 74 games between 2013 and 2015.
In October 2017 he signed for Sodupe in the Third Division. For the 2018-19 campaign he joined SD San Pedro, a team recently promoted to the Third Division.
