Locking.

Horseshoe or herrones is a traditional game. It consists of throwing metal horseshoes in the shape of a slice with a hole in the center, from 12 meters, on a bar nailed to the ground that protrudes 1.20 meters, seeking to insert them.

The game can be individual or by teams, and is won by whoever inserts the most horseshoes, or if not inserted, whoever gets closest to the bar. Each player will throw 10 horseshoes.

According to some theories, this game has its origins in discus throwing.[citation needed] It is widespread throughout the world.

The players, once situated on the throwing line and according to their previously established turn, throw the horseshoes trying to get them to enter the rod or get as close to it as possible. After each throw, the horseshoes are collected and the points achieved are counted according to the following scale:

  • 5 points for each horseshoe that was inserted into the bar.
  • 3 stitches for every horseshoe inside the circle.
  • Win the one with the most points.
