Hoihoi-san

Hoihoi-san (一撃殺虫!! ホイホイさん, Ichigeki Satchū!! Hoihoi-san^?, Bug Killer!! Guardian Doll Hoihoi-san), is a doll from a PlayStation 2 video game, created into a manga (drawn by Kunihiko Tanaka) and also presented in an 11-minute OVA.

History

In the year 20XX, insects have become immune to all pesticides. To combat the growing infestation of cockroaches and other vermin, the pharmaceutical company MARS begins to develop doll-shaped and sized extermination androids named Hoihoi-san. These androids can hunt insects and kill them with miniature weapons such as machine guns and combat knives. At the same time as the robot Hoihoi-san was released, a rival company introduced a similar robot called Combat-san. These are often treated as dolls, and dresses and accessories for them are sold.

Aburatsubo is one of the protagonists of this little story, along with Kimiko Dewa a girl with a great phobia of Hoihoi-san who works in a pharmacy where she meets Aburatsubo.
