Hockenheim Circuit

The Hockenheimring or Hockenheim Circuit is an autodrome located in the vicinity of Hockenheim, Germany, in the Rhein-Neckar metropolitan region. The main races he has hosted are the Grand Prix of Germany of Formula 1, first in 1970 and then annually from 1977 to 2008 (except in 1985 and 2007), first accompanied by Formula 3000 and then by GP2 Series; and the German Grand Prix of the World Championship of Motorcycles on numerous occasions between 1957 and 1994.

Hockenheimring has also hosted the Superbikes World Championship (1988-1997 and 1999-2000), the Sport Prototypes World Championship (1966-1967, 1977 and 1985), the FIA GT Championship (1997-1999 and 2004).

As one of the main circuits in the country, the national speed motor racing and speed motor racing championships usually run there. In fact, the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters has used it as an opening and final date in all seasons, and Formula 3 Euroseries did the same starting in 2004. Previously, the Deutsche Rennsport Meisterschaft and the Super Tourenwagen Cup also ran in Hockenheimring.
