Hidden Place (song)
"Hidden Place" is a single released in August 2001 by Icelandic singer-songwriter Björk. The same corresponds to Vespertine, an album released the same year. In fact, it was the first single from the album.
About the song
The song "Hidden Place" was written by Björk, Guy Sigsworth and Mark Bell; the production was in charge of Björk.
“Hidden Place” is a song about how two people can create a paradise just by coming together. You have an emotional situation that is mutual. And it's unbreakable. And obviously you have to believe it. So one could argue that it doesn't exist because it's invisible, but of course it does. And it is a situation created from scratch.
Video Clip
The video clip was co-directed by M/M Paris with Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin who later designed the covers for these singles. In the video the camera appears focusing on Björk's face through which liquids are flowing through her nose, eyes and mouth.
1854 versions of Hidden Place were released.
