Hentiy Province

The Hentiy aymag is one of the 21 aymags (provinces) of Mongolia. It is located in the east of the country, from which it takes an extension of 80,311 square kilometers, for a total population of 70,946 inhabitants (data from 2000). Its capital is Öndörkhaan. This is known as the birthplace of Temujin, founder and first khan of the Mongol empire, which under his successors would end up being the second largest in history.
