Henry Dougier (b. Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, September 27, 1936) is the founder of Autrement Publishing House.

In May 1968, he was 38 years old, and had worked in Shell's marketing service and edited Management magazine.

The events of this period in Paris marked him deeply, and he raised a series of social questions that led him to found in 1975 a quarterly magazine of social analysis, which would evolve to become the Autrement publishing house.
