Hector Larrea
Héctor Larrea (Bragado, October 30, 1938) is an actor, journalist and radio and television host from Argentina with more than half a century of experience.
Since 2003 he has hosted the program A national turn on Radio Nacional, first on the AM frequency of said station and since 2018 on Nacional Clásica, from Monday to Friday from 2 to 5 p.m.
On November 13, 2020, during the broadcast of his program 'El Carromato de la Farsa', he announced his definitive retirement from radio after 60 years of work.
Biography
He debuted as a teenager on the stages of his town. As soon as he finished high school he traveled to Buenos Aires, and completed his studies at the ISER around 1962.
It started at Radio Miter. His television career as an actor was in Four Men for Eva, on channel 13. Then he found his calling in the program The Bell Jar , alongside Nelly Raymond. In the 1960s he was the official presenter of the Sandro show. During that period he also did it with prestigious tango orchestras.
In 1967, he started the radio program Rapidísimo, which remained for 30 years, passing through the radio stations Radio Del Plata, Continental and Rivadavia. The name comes from the fact that the program lasted half an hour. He produced several innovations; It included tango, melodic songs and folklore, styles of music that were not common at that time.
In 1986 he had the opportunity to host Six to triumph which reached 18 audience rating points in its first broadcasts and remained on the air for seven years.
He worked on dozens of advertisements such as the one for the Santa Fe Lottery in the mid-1980s.
He was one of the first Argentine presenters to allow listeners to participate through telephone messages.
Private life
He was first married to the announcer Leonor Ferrara. He had two daughters María Florencia and María Laura.
In 2000 and 2001 he underwent two delicate operations for polyps in the intestines.

He is one of the professionals who has obtained the most Martín Fierro statuettes. The last one was received in 2015, in the shortlist "Work in male driving" by El Espacio de Héctor Larrea.
