The seven thirty is a classic card game, very easy to play and very fun at the same time.

The instructions for the game Seven and a Half are as follows:

– One of the players acts as a bench. One card is dealt to each of the other players, and then each player places their bet.

– The player to the left of the dealer receives cards until he stands or the sum of the value of his cards is greater than 7 and a half. The turn passes to the player to the left of him. Each player's cards except one are face up.

– After the turn of all the players is over, it is the bank's turn. The dealer plays with all his cards up. The bank's turn ends when he stands or goes over seven and a half. If you bust, you have lost and must pay the players who have stood. If he stands, the bank wins against all those who have a hand of value less than or equal to his and loses with all those who have a hand of higher value. The bank pays an amount equal to the value of the bet to all the players who have won, except for the plays that have obtained the 7 and a half, which charge double the amount bet.

– In the next round the player who will act as the bank will be the one located to the left of the current bank.

The game is about getting seven and a half points, or getting as close to it as possible. Cards are worth as many points as their face value, except face cards, which are worth half a point.

One of the players has to act as a Banker, who can sell it to the player he wants for the amount he thinks is fair. The bank deals one card face down to each player and to itself. Each player bets and, in turn, can request cards from the bank, with the condition that only one of the ones he has remains covered, so that if he uncovers all of them, the bank gives it to him covered, and if he keeps one face down, the bank gives him another uncovered. It can be planted at any time if it has reached seven and a half, or if it is below. If in his turn a player goes over seven and a half, he must show all his cards and immediately lose his bet.

Any player whose first card is a figure (semi-point) and when asking receives another figure, two figures, three figures (consecutive), may double, triple, quadruple... until you receive a non-figure card. This means that with each of the figures he will be able to play as if he were a different player, betting on each of the games independently.

When all the players have played, it is the bank's turn, who reveals his card and plays, in full view, until he stands or busts. Whoever has more points than the bank wins, without exceeding seven and a half. The one who has seven and a half, receives double his bet and, in some places, becomes a banker. At equal points, he always wins the bank.

This game is very similar to the so-called Blackjack, very popular in Casinos, which is played with a French deck and whose scores and rules are somewhat different.

Sotas are part of the figuresThey're worth half a point at seven and a half.
The horses are part of the figuresThey're worth half a point at seven and a half.
Kings are part of the figuresThey're worth half a point at seven and a half.

How to bet [citation needed]

The most widespread form of betting, very common in the area of Piedrahíta, Salamanca, or Cáceres, is:

  • The "bank" will tell the amount of the bet before starting to split the cards, so that each player bets that amount against it.
  • The player who passes 7.5 will always pay the bet to the bank.
  • The player who draws the bench will pay this the bet amount.
  • The player who gets 7.5 will receive twice the bet that the bank made.
  • When the bank draws 7.5 everyone will pay this double of the bet, except the player who has taken 7.5 that will pay 4 times the amount of the bet.
  • When the dealt card is an average and the next half will be able to play each as a different bet against the bank. Example: I am given a horse, I ask and it is sota, I can choose to play two bets. That I ask again and is a king, I can decide to play three bets like that on. As soon as you stop dating that card is for the first bet, there comes a 6 and I decide to get planted with 6 and a half, I ask for the next and there comes a half already I have 1 in the second bet, I ask and there comes a 7 I have gone on the second bet and I ask letter for the third bet...
