Gyllene Tider

Gyllene Tider, Swedish rock group from Halmstad, formed in 1977.

The band members were Per Gessle (vocals and guitar), Mats "MP" Persson (guitar), Micke "Syd" Andersson (drums), Anders Herrlin (bass) and Göran Fritzon (keyboards). Janne Calrsson was also involved with the line-up (he was the band's first bassist).

After the release of five albums, the band ended up dissolving in 1985 due to disputes between several of its members, but even so, it continued to enjoy great popularity among the public.

In 1996, after editing some new songs (with great repercussions), they organized a tour all over Sweden aboard a train with the band Wilmer X and Love Olzon.

In 2004, and on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the creation of this group, a tour called "GT25" was organized. It was the biggest tour of the year across the country and managed to gather a total of 500,000 spectators. The highlights of this tour were, without a doubt, the celebration of a concert in Ullevi, where they managed to gather more than 60,000 people.

In 2013, after long rumors of a reunion, the band announces the release of a new album and subsequent tour. Said album goes on sale in mid-April of the same year under the title Dags att tänka på refrängen. It quickly rises to #1 in sales in all of Sweden.
