Gutar

Gútar is a town in the province of Jaén, belonging to the municipality of Villanueva del Arzobispo. It had 73 inhabitants in 2004. Currently it is close to 90, given that the rural exodus that it has suffered in previous times no longer happens in the same way.

History

Roman remains, of which hardly anything remains and which in the seventies suffered its greatest looting, which included mosaics and which was discovered in Gútar in the area of "Solana de los Jesuitas".
