Greater Sunda Islands

The Major Sunda Islands are a group of islands in the western part of the Malay Archipelago. Islands in the group include:

  • Borneo
  • Java
  • Célebes
  • Sumatra

The group is politically divided between Brunei, Indonesia and Malaysia.

Together with the Lesser Sunda Islands, to the east, they make up the Sunda Islands.
