Geonosian fighter

The Geonosian starfighters or Nantex-class territorial defense starfighters are fictional vehicles from the Star Wars universe.

These starfighters were designed by the Geonosians, with the simple function of protecting the economic and political interests of their planet Geonosis. After the opening of the Clone Wars (Clone Wars) they were under the complete service of the Confederacy of Independent Systems (Confederacy). The highly agile fighters can perform maneuvers impossible for many other known vehicles. They are more effective than the Droid Starfighters and are better armed.

The Geonosian Starfighters are piloted by a single Geonosian, who neither sleeps nor rests, he is practically united to the ship that does not reach 9 m in length. One of the tricks to effectiveness is a series of olfactory systems, which pick up scents and send them back to the pilot, to give him excellent positioning and increased safety in battle.

It is known that on Geonosis, a pair of these starfighters escorted Count Dooku to the hangar where his ship was. Also in space were hundreds of these vehicles fighting against the forces of the Galactic Republic.

On the planet Muunilinst, the main aerial strike forces were Geonosian fighters, whose mission was to defeat the clone trooper fighters, led by Anakin Skywalker from his Jedi starfighter.
