Galactography

ImprimirCitar

The galactography consists of a mammogram in which the mouth of the galactophore of a mammary duct is canalized to inject contrast and opacify it. This procedure makes it possible to study alterations such as abnormal dilation of the ducts or ductal ectasia, the formation of papillary tumors inside the lumen of the ducts or intraductal papillomatosis, and stenosis or narrowing of the mammary ducts. It is especially indicated in the study of abnormal nipple discharge or telorrhoea.
