Frances Ondiviela

Francisca Ondiviela Otero (Gran Canaria, Canary Islands, May 19, 1963), known by the stage names of Frances Ondiviela and Pat Ondiviela, is a Spanish actress.

Biography

In 1980 at the age of 17, she became Miss Spain, from that moment, where she became known, she has been part of the cast of different film, theater and television productions.

His first appearance on stage was in the cinema with the film Playing with Death, produced in 1982. A year later he changed his name to Pat Ondiviela during his participation as a stewardess in the contest program One, two, three... answer again held in Spain. At this stage of her life she acted in several feature films, including Panic Beats , El Cid Cabreador and Juana la loca... from time to time .

In the mid-80s he traveled to Mexico, a country where he studied theater, diction, voice and radio.

In 1986 she made her debut in the production of Carmen Armendáriz, La hora marcada as the woman in black, later she hosted musical programs and had her first appearance in the telenovela El pecado de Oyuki (1988-1989).

In 1989 when she participated in the telenovela Simply María, later she acted in Alcarzar una Estrella and in 1991 in La pícara soñadora

In 1992 he acted in El abuelo y yo, in 1993 he joined the cast of Between life and death. In 1994 she plays Brenda in Marimar . In 1996 she made an antagonistic participation in Luz Clarita as Barbára.

In 2002 she played María Julia Rodríguez in the telenovela Gata salvaje.

In the middle of 2003, he returned to Mexico to do a special performance in the telenovela Amor real with the producer Carla Estrada and several unit programs. In 2004 she entered the second part of Wooden Woman . In 2005, she recorded the soap opera Against wind and tide ; She works with Silvia Pinal in the program Mujer, casos de la vida real so that she interprets Muñeca de cristal , for her performance in this series she was awarded the Bravo award as best female actress in 2006.

In 2007 she was part of the production Acorralada, playing Octavia Irazábal.

In 2007, she played Teresa in Storm in Paradise, produced by Juan Osorio. For this character, she received the Gráfica de Oro award for best actress and a nomination in the category of Best Co-star Actress at the 2009 TVyNovelas Awards, Universal Excellence Award for Storm in Paradise for best actress and Artistic trajectory.

Among other performances are the different roles represented in the miniseries Woman, real life cases. For her performance in this series, she was awarded the Bravo Award for Best Female Actress in 2006.

Among the wide variety of awards she has received is the National Women's Award given by the National Chamber for Women for her artistic career, which she received in 2009.

In 2009, she gave life to the character of Rosaura Suárez in Emilio Larrosa's telenovela Hasta que el dinero nos partares.

In 2010 she returned to Miami to work on the Univision and Venevisión co-production called Eva Luna.

In 2012 she returned to Mexico under the production of Ignacio Sada Madero in the telenovela Un refugio para el amor in the character of Juliet July Vda. from Villavicencio and in the same year she participated in the telenovela Rosario playing Teresa Martínez.

In 2013, he participated in the Telemundo telenovela called Santa diabla.

In 2014, she participated in the soap opera Voltea pa'que te enamores.

Miss Spain

With the name of Paquita Ondiviela, she was crowned Miss Spain in 1980. She participated representing Spain in the international Miss World, Miss Universe and Miss International pageants.

Cinema career

In 1982, he made his film debut with José Antonio de la Loma, in the film Playing with Death.

She has participated in several feature films: Panic beats, Juana la loca... from time to time, J.R. counterattacks and El Cid Cabreador.

Personal life

Frances has two children, Natalia (born 1988) and Emiliano (born 1995), both born in Mexico.
