Fran Perea
Francisco Manuel Perea Bilbao, better known as Fran Perea (Valle de Abdalajís Málaga, November 20, 1978), is a versatile singer, actor, producer, director and Spanish businessman. Success knocked on his door in Los Serrano. Musically, he became known with his song 'One plus one is seven'.
Biography
Son of José Joaquín Perea Rodríguez and Amparo Bilbao Guerrero. His sister is Maite Perea Bilbao, journalist, specialist in corporate communication (politics, health, pharmacy, culture and tourism). His father was a teacher and worked at the Reyes Católicos Institute in Vélez-Málaga and at the N-15 Puerto de La Torre Institute. His mother has been a councilor in the Malaga town hall and a delegate for Equality of the Junta de Andalucía in the years when Fran was successful in 'Los Serrano'.
He studied in Malaga. During his youth he was part of a music group. In 1996 he began his studies in Biology at the University of Malaga, which he left to study Dramatic Art at the Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático de Málaga. After graduating in 2000, he went to Madrid, where he participated in countless castings until he was accepted for his first role in the series El comisario.

Television
He made his debut as an actor in an episode of El comisario (Telecinco), although he became known in Al leaving class a year later. In 2003 he received the offer to play a role in Los Serrano (Telecinco), a series for which he provided a soundtrack thanks to a song by Mikel Erentxun and with which he achieved popularity in Spain and Finland. At the beginning of 2006 he left his character to dedicate himself to cinema.
After this job, Fran's presence on television decreased, although she had a role in several episodes of Hospital Central (Telecinco). In 2010 she participated in the program Your favorite view (Cuatro), where she presented the Valle de Abdalajís, the hometown of her mother, in the province of Málaga.
In April 2012, Antena 3 premiered Luna, the mystery of Calenda where Fran Perea played Nacho, a civil guard from the judicial section who helps his lieutenant (Daniel Grao) and the judge played by Belén Rueda to reveal the strange events that occur in Calenda.
In June 2013 he signed for B&B, de boca en boca, the new Telecinco series in which he plays Mario.
In 2016, he made an intervention in chapter 4 of the series The man of your life. In the last quarter of 2016 she premiered The Sonata of Silence on TVE1, a series based on the book of the same name by Paloma Sánchez Garnica.
Music
As for his musical career, in 2003 he became number 1 on the Spanish music charts with 1+1 son 7 (by Mikel Erentxun). The Girl in the Next Room came out in October of that same year, with songs composed by Pau Donés, Coti and Xabi San Martín. He was nominated for the 2003 Amigo Awards as New Artist and has 4 platinum records and 1 gold record. In June 2005, his second album was released: Punto y Apart , of which six songs were composed by himself and his band.
On April 26, 2010 he released his third album: Viejosfamilias, this time under his own music label, Sinfonía en Nobemol, in Spain. It is the first musical work created entirely by him, who has also relied on his band when composing the music for the songs that will comprise it.
Cinema
With a few months he appeared with a few months of life in the film Cuba.
Together with Paco León he starred in Fernando Guillén Cuervo's first film as director: Los Managers (2006). He also participated in The Way of the English (2006), Antonio Banderas' second film as director in his homeland. He was also part of the cast of the film The Thirteen Roses (2007) and Balada triste de trumpeta , by director Álex de la Iglesia (2010).
In June 2010 he participated in the recording of the film From your window to mine, along with Maribel Verdú and Roberto Álamo. This is the first film by Aragonese director Paula Ortiz. He is also the protagonist of the short film El opositor , by directors María Giráldez and Miguel Provencio. With them he has repeated in the short Life vest under your seat (We fly to Miami) , recorded in 2011 and Eladio y la Puerta Interdimensional (2014) In 2015 he participated in the telefilm La Xirgu , playing Federico García Lorca. In 2017 he participated as a director of short films within the initiative 'Histories that tell', by Havana Club 7.
Theatre
In the summer of 2007, he put his musical career on hold to participate in the production of Fedra, by director José Carlos Plaza with text by Juan Mayorga. In this work she gave life to Hipólito and Ana Belén to Fedra, and her partner in Los Serrano Víctor Elías also participated. From mid-2008 to mid-2009 he toured with the play Don Juan, el burlador de Sevilla through numerous Spanish cities, as well as in Nice and Naples. In 2010 he performed the play They were all my children, by Arthur Miller, directed by Claudio Tolcachir in the role of Chris , one of the protagonists. Two years later, at the Mérida Festival, again under Plaza's orders, he was part of the cast of Electra, by Euripides, in the role of Orestes.
In April 2013, with his own theater company Entremados Teatro he premiered Feelgood, a work that enjoyed two seasons in Madrid and an extensive tour until early 2015. After that, the company was renamed Feelgood Teatro, premiering his second work in 2016, La Estupidez .
In 2015 he embarked as a partner in the restoration of the old Cines Luchana (Calle Luchana 38, Madrid), now converted into Teatros Luchana.
In addition, in 2017 he directed his first play, Souvenir, written by Pablo Díaz Morilla, a project that arose from the Echegaray Factory.
And he got a taste for directing and got to work with When you least expect it in Las Noches de la Suite.
