15 (XV) was a common year beginning on a Tuesday of the Julian calendar, in force on that date. In the Roman Empire, it was known as the Year of the Consulate of Caesar and Flaccus (or less frequently, year 768 Ab urbe condita). The designation 15 for this year has been used since the early medieval period, when the A.D. era became the prevalent European method of naming years.
