Most of the festivities in Nuevo León are related to the anniversary of the founding of the municipalities, the celebration of the patron saint of the town by the Catholic Church, or the exhibitions of the most popular regional product. Most of them are only celebrated at the local level and since most of the municipalities have few inhabitants, the festivities tend to be austere. However, some of them, such as the Old Town Festival or the Guadalupe Livestock Exhibition, receive national and international visitors.
