Ferus Olin

Ferus Olin is a character belonging to the Star Wars fictional universe who appears in Jude Watson's young adult book series Jedi Quest and The Last of the Jedi.

Jedi Quest

He was Siri Tachi's Padawan, but he renounced the Order and his Jedi training as he suspected that Anakin Skywalker had deliberately withheld relevant information about his friend Tru Veld's lightsaber, knowing that it could fail in combat. As a result of this, a padawan named Darra Thel-Tanis died. Ferus felt responsible for what happened since he himself had repaired his friend Tru's saber from him and had kept it a secret, which constituted a violation of the rules between master and padawan.

Ferus was known for his rivalry with Anakin and was the first to warn Obi-Wan Kenobi about him. He felt that Anakin's great qualities hid great discontent and insecurity. He also had impressive powers and mastery of the Force, which often made Anakin jealous, especially when he was praised by Obi-Wan or other masters of the Jedi Order.

The Last of the Jedi

After leaving the Order Ferus partnered with his friend Roan Lands and they started various businesses. Both became officers in the Galactic Republic military during the Clone Wars. Obi-Wan found him after the events described in Revenge of the Sith and helped him rescue Roan, who had been taken prisoner by Imperial forces due to their opposition to the government.

Ferus then decided to look for survivors of the Jedi Purge carried out by Darth Vader after escaping from Boba Fett with Obi-Wan and a young boy named Trever. Once he found a mobile asteroid to use as a base he met an old friend of Obi-Wan named Garen Muln in the caves of Illum; From the old Jedi he received another lightsaber. He then separated from Kenobi, who told him that he was a true Jedi.

Then he went to look for the Jedi Fay-Tor who was believed to be imprisoned on Coruscant. She found her, she had changed her name to Solace. Solace, Ferus, and Trever returned to the Jedi Temple to retrieve the lightsabers there, but it was a trap, and Ferus was captured.

He escaped from prison thanks to another prisoner and met up with Solace and Trever in space to travel to Naboo. There he killed Inquisitor Malorum, who was pursuing his group and the secrets of Kenobi and the Jedi. Then he received a message from the Emperor urging him to visit him in exchange for ceasing pressure on his group.
