Felix IV(Samnio, ¿?-Rome, September 22, 530). 54th Pope of the Catholic Church from 526 to 530.

The son of one Castorius, he was imposed as pope by the Ostrogothic king Theodoric the Great, who had imprisoned and martyred his predecessor, John I.

During his pontificate, he condemned the doctrine of semi-pelagianism in an epistle that he addressed to Cesáreo de Arles.

Likewise, in 529, he published an edict naming Boniface II his successor, which would cause, at his death, on September 22, 530, a brief schism in the Church when the majority of the clergy chose Dioscurus.

This pope is referred to in some lists as Felix III because they exclude the antipope Felix II who, however, was initially considered legitimate by the Church.

His holiday was initially on January 30 but was moved to the date of his death, September 22.
