Felipe Colombo Eguía
Felipe Colombo Eguía (Mexico City, January 8, 1983) is an Argentine actor, singer, composer and musician born in Mexico. He is known for his participation in the soap operas Chiquititas, Erreway 4 Caminos and Rebelde Way and for being part of the pop-rock band Erreway along with Camila Bordonaba, Benjamín Rojas and Luisana Lopilato.
Biography
Felipe Colombo was born in Mexico City on December 28, 1983. He is the son of the Argentine actor Juan Carlos Colombo and the Mexican theater actress and costume designer Patricia Eguía. He has an older sister named Sol. From the age of four he grew up in theaters due to his parents' profession.
Acting career
At the age of six he began acting in the children's play Among all yes we can directed by his father. Some of his later theater works were Grandpa and I, Momo (based on the novel of the same name by Michael Ende) (AMCT Best Child Actor Award), Eduardo II by Christopher Marlowe and The Thieves of Time by Michael Ende directed by Enrique Singer. He began his career on television in 1992, in the soap operas El Abuelo y Yo , then Ángeles sin Paraíso . In 1994, he was part of the cast in Agujetas de color de rosa (Mexico) , Chiquititas and in the Mexican films Cilantro y perejil and < i>The Page .
From 1999 to 2001 he participated in the 3 theater seasons and the children's-youth series Chiquititas playing the character of Felipe Mejía; Also in 2001 he worked on his first film in Argentina Chiquititas: Rincón de luz. In 2002 and 2003, he worked in the youth series Rebelde Way (produced by Cris Morena Group), playing Manuel Aguirre; and also in theater with Erreway. In 2004, he acted in the film Erreway: 4 paths. In 2005, he played the leading male role in the play El gradado, with actress Nacha Guevara. The following year he participated with his father in the play Don't worry blue eyes, which had already been done six years earlier in Mexico. In 2005, he joined the cast of Doble vida i>, an erotic-police series broadcast by the América TV channel. That same year he participated in an episode Amor mio and the following year he participated in the same episode and character for the Mexican version of the same. In 2014, he returned to television to play Fidel in My friends forever, a novel starring Nicolás Cabré, Gonzalo Heredia, Nicolás Vázquez, Agustina Cherri, Emilia Attias and Calu Rivero.
In 2016 he starred in the play Cardenio under the character of Cardenio. The play was originally written by William Shakespeare and John Fletcher.
Musical career
Together with the soap opera Rebelde Way the pop-rock band Erreway emerged, made up of Felipe along with Camila Bordonaba, Benjamín Rojas and Luisana Lopilato. In 2003, he participated in the second season of the novel and the band visited four countries. The band broke up at the end of 2004 and reunited again in 2006 except for Luisana Lopilato to tour Spain. In 2007, they did a concert in Valencia for Sunny Happy Day and received the platinum record for the 80,000 copies sold of their album "Erreway, the Rebelde way album", which It was only published in Spain. In 2010, he formed a new band, La Miss Tijuana with his friend Camila Bordonaba and Erreway's vocal coach, Willie Lorenzo. They describe their music as vintage, with desert and road reminiscences. From 2013 to 2015, he was part of the band Roco along with Benjamín Rojas and Willie Lorenzo.
Personal life
He received primary education at the Hermino Almendro school and began secondary education at the CIE Sur in Mexico, concluding it in Argentina at the José Martí and San Francisco schools.
From 2000 to 2004 he dated his co-worker from Chiquititas and Rebelde Way, Luisana Lopilato.
Since 2007 he has been in a relationship with the costume designer Cecilia Coronado, with whom he had a daughter named Aurora in 2009.
She maintains a very close friendship with her former colleagues from Erreway, Camila Bordonaba and Benjamín Rojas, who are also her daughter's godparents.
