Fele martinez

Rafael Martínez (Alicante, February 22, 1975), better known as Fele Martínez, is a Spanish actor.

Biography

Born in Alicante, he studied at the Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático in Madrid, and soon began performing plays. "Sexpeare" was the company in which he developed his first interpretive activities.

The bridge to fame came from the hand of Alejandro Amenábar, with his feature debut Tesis. For this film he received the Goya Award for Best New Actor in 1996. From this moment on he became one of the best-known faces in Spanish cinema. Among his best-known films are: Open your eyes (Amenábar, 1997), Lovers of the polar circle (Julio Médem, 1998), The art of dying (Álvaro Fernández Armero, 1999), April Captains (María de Medeiros, 1999), Black Tuno (Pedro L. Barbero and Vicente J. Martín, 2000) and Bad Education (Pedro Almodóvar, 2004).

He has also participated in various independent film projects such as the short films: Pasaia (1996), for which he won the Best Actor award at the Elche International Independent Film Festival, Friends (1997), The Wallet (2000) or Angel's Punishment, which he directed in 2002.

The actor was scheduled to form part of the youth series Física o química on Antena 3, in 2008 playing Mario, as Irene's boyfriend, but better proposals left him in a simple cameo of four chapters.

He participated in the science fiction comedy Plutón BRB Nero directed by Álex de la Iglesia and in which Fele plays Mr. Spock.

In 2008 Dime que yo, a short film by Spanish director Mateo Gil in which Martínez is accompanied in the leading role by Judith Diakhate, is released. For his performance in the short film, he was nominated for Best Actor and Mateo Gil obtained the Best Director Award at the Islantilla Film Festival 2009. In said film event, the short film Comeparedes by Nuria was also presented de la Torre, in which Fele Martínez also participates.

In 2009 the filming of Marta draws bridges began with a script and direction by Rafael Deltell. The film is based on the homonymous novel by Carles Cortés from Alcoy.

In 2010 Unresolved sexual tension by Miguel Ángel Lamata was released, and Don Mendo Rock ¿La venganza?, directed by José Luis García Sánchez.

He has filmed the trailer for the feature film Salt by Argentine director Diego Rougier and Javiera Contador, released in 2011.

He also participated in the series Prófugos, a mega-production directed by Efe3 and Fábula, the first Chilean series released on HBO in 2011.

In June 2010 he alternated his acting career with music and gastronomy. Ciruelas , is the musical group that he forms as a bassist, along with Rulo Pardo, Joe Carmona and José María Oliver.

He has also set up the business Creperie La Rue together with Silvia Rey and Paco León.
