Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex* (*But Were Afraid to Ask)
Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex * But Were Afraid to Ask (titled in Argentina Everything you always wanted to know about sex i>, in Mexico Everything you always wanted to know about sex, but were afraid to ask, and in Spain Everything you always wanted to know about sex* but never dared to ask ) is Woody Allen's fourth film as director, and in which he also writes and stars. Bold and scathing, the film is constructed as a series of sketches in which the director reinterprets, with visual humor, the chapters of Dr. David Reuben's book of the same name.
The film is written as a parody of this book and those that try to explain the psychology of sex.
Divided into seven segments, the film explores, with classic Woody Allen touches, themes such as seduction, cross-dressing, pseudo-scientific studies of sexuality. In this last chapter, Woody Allen makes one of his best-known on-screen appearances of him, dressed as if he were a sperm.
Woody Allen demonstrated his ability to work with large, star-studded casts, a facet that will continue in his subsequent career.
The script of this film, original by Woody Allen, was translated into Spanish by José Luis Guarner, published by Tusquets in 1986 and later reissued.
Segments of the film

- What is sodomy?
- Why can't some women get orgasm?
- Are transvestites gay?
