Eutichianus (Luni,? - Rome, December 7, 283) was the 27th.o pope of the Catholic Church from 275 to 283.

As pontiff, he established that the martyrs were not buried covered with a simple white sheet, but rather with the "dalmatic", a garment very similar to the mantle of the Roman emperors and which today is worn by deacons in solemn ceremonies.

He is credited with the practice of blessing the harvesting of the fields.

Although the Roman martyrology includes him among the martyrs, today it is certain that he was not, since his pontificate took place in a period free of persecutions that had been suspended when the emperor Aurelian died in 275.

He died on December 7, 283 and was buried in the Catacombs of San Callisto, later in 1659 his relics were donated by Pope Innocent X to the Bishop of Fidenza, Cardinal Felipe Casoni, who after his death, by testament, he arranged for them to arrive in Sarzana, a town in the center of Lunigiana, probably the area of origin of this Pope.

In the 19th century, fragments of his epitaph, written in Greek, were found in the catacomb of Callistus I.
