Eric Cameron Stoltz (Whittier, California; September 30, 1961) is an American actor. He is known for playing social misfits (Mask, Some Kind of Wonderful, The Waterdance) and psychopathic criminals Killing Zoe. i>). Early years

Stoltz was born in Whittier, California, the son of Evelyn B. (Vawter), a violinist and school teacher who died in 1994, and Jack Stoltz, an elementary school teacher. He has two older sisters, Catherine Stoltz (1954) and Susan R. Stoltz (1957). He grew up in American Samoa and Santa Barbara, California, where as a child he earned money playing piano in local musical performances. Career

In 1979 Stoltz joined a theater company that performed ten plays at the Edinburgh Festival, Scotland. During the 90s, he alternated between theater productions, television and film again and again, forming an eclectic resume that included both studio films such as Pulp Fiction (1994) and independent films such as The Waterdance(1992), winner at the Sundance Film Festival. He was also a production assistant on Say Anything... and Singles (both by Cameron Crowe), and was a producer on Bodies, Rest & Motion (1993), Sleep with Me (1994) and Mr. Jealousy(1997). At the beginning of the 2000s, she starred in The House of Joy, alongside Gillian Anderson, based on the novel of the same name by Edith Wharton. From 2001 to 2002 he played the role of the English teacher and poet August Dimitri in the ABC series Once and Again, where Julia Whelan's character falls in love with him. Stoltz is a member of the Actors Studio. He lived with actress Ally Sheedy (whom he met in college) until 1983. He then dated actress Jennifer Jason Leigh from 1985 to 1989, and Bridget Fonda from 1990 to 1998.

Director Cameron Crowe and Stoltz became friends on the set of Fast Times at Ridgemont High and Crowe promised him roles in his films. Although he was unable to work on Almost Famous, his name briefly appears on a billboard.

Stoltz married singer Bernadette Moley in 2005 after dating for a year, and they are parents to a daughter named Catalina Stoltz, born in 2007.
