There are organizations called Engineers Without Borders or Engineering Without Borders in several countries around the world. These are non-governmental organizations dedicated to development cooperation. There is no global organization of which they are part nor are they affiliated with each other, although some of them have embarked on the creation of an international network to coordinate their actions. However, in general there is no collaboration between them, each of them working independently.

As most of its cooperation projects are small projects with local partners in rural areas, this reduces bureaucracy and associated costs, common in large organizations. Today, Engineers Without Borders Canada is the largest organization.

Some of the organizations are:

  • Engineering Sin Fronteras (Argentina)
  • Ingénieurs Sans Frontières (Belgium)
  • Engineers Without Borders (Canada)
  • Ingeniører uden Grænser (Denmark)
  • Ingegneria Senza Frontiere (Italy)
  • Engineering Sin Fronteras (Spain)
  • Engineers Without Borders (United Kingdom)
  • Engineers Without Borders (United States)
  • Engineers without Borders (Peru)
  • Engineers Without Borders (Portugal) EpDAH and TESE
  • Engineers Sin Fronteras (Colombia)
  • Engineers Without Borders (Chile)
