El Golf (station)
El Golf is a railway station that is part of Line 1 of the Santiago de Chile Metro network. It is located underground, on Apoquindo Avenue at 3200, between the Tobalaba and Alcántara stations, in the commune of Las Condes. It has a Bibliometro, which was moved due to lack of space from the Tobalaba station, and is located on the platform, next to the ticket office. The station has an average daily flow of 18,541 passengers.
It has two entrances: one on the north sidewalk of Apoquindo on the corner of El Regidor, a few steps from the Las Condes Civic Center, and another on the south, corner of San Crescente.
Features and environment

Inaugurated in 1980, it is located in the El Golf neighborhood, which emerged in the 1940s as one of the most exclusive in the Chilean capital. In the past it had a low flow of passengers, however the construction of office buildings in this once residential sector has turned it into the center of the Las Condes commune, with a concentration of high-end restaurants, hotels and offices..
The interior of the station is decorated with paintings by Rodolfo Opazo, 260 square meters titled Neighborhood Images, in which "reflects the social and economic transformation of the El Golf neighborhood, whose architecture shelters the emergence of the country's new financial center.
In the immediate vicinity of the station is the Las Condes Civic Center, with its Municipal Theater and Art Room, the Municipality's town hall building, the Ritz Carlton Hotel, the Metrogás central offices and the embassies of Saudi Arabia (El Alcalde 15, next to the Civic Center), France and Syria (Carmencita 69, three blocks away, and 111, four blocks away, respectively).
Next to the stairs of its northern entrance, there are two large sculptures by Pilar Landerretche, related to giving and receiving. Behind the Civic Center begins the La Pastora Sculpture Walk, with ten works by renowned national sculptors; it ends on Isidora Goyenechea Avenue, famous for its restaurants and benches painted by artists.

Inside the station is the mural Images of Neighborhood, work done by Rodolfo Opazo. On the walls you can see human figures represented as ghosts, which, according to the author, personify the anguish that the artists go through. The mural was installed in 2005 and has an area of 170 m2. All murals were digitally reproduced from original canvases that were much smaller compared to the station walls.
Etymological origin
It owes its name to the fact that in this area is the Los Leones Golf Club, one of the most elite in Chile. This field was moved a few blocks to the north to make room for the construction of buildings and homes in this neighborhood.
