Edith Gonzalez
Edith González Fuentes (Mexico City, December 10, 1964-Huixquilucan, State of Mexico, June 13, 2019) was a Mexican actress. She is best remembered for having worked on multiple soap operas produced by three different multimedia companies, which included Televisa, TV Azteca and Telemundo.
He was born and raised in Mexico City. As a child she participated in school plays. In 1971, a friend of her mother told her that González had the qualities to be an actress, so she was taken to a program called Always on Sunday. There she was selected by some famous actors of the time and she began her training to become an actress. She continued studying acting at various schools including the Lee Strasberg Theater Academy and the Sorbonne University. She also studied dance at the Du Marais dance center. Biography and career
1964-1971: early years
Edith González Fuentes was born on December 10, 1964 in Mexico City, being the daughter of Ofelia, a housewife, and Efraín, a bank employee. She had a brother twelve years older than her, named Víctor Manuel. He attended kindergarten in Monterrey at the "Alfonso Reyes" school, primary school at a school called "William Shakespeare" and high school at the "Simón Bolívar" school. In an interview, González defended his version of events, explaining that at that point in his career he could not afford an antagonistic role after having starred in other fictions. In his opinion, he was not going to endure any "humiliation." The actress also pointed out that during filming she had "unpleasant experiences" and reported that she was not treated properly, so she decided to resign from the project, ensuring that she was not fired by the production. Personal life

González had a daughter, Constanza (born August 17, 2004). He initially did not reveal the name of her father and decided to raise Constanza alone. In 2008, Mexican politician Santiago Creel acknowledged that he was Constanza's father. During an interview in August 2012, González shared that he had lost a baby.
She maintained a strong and long friendship with the Argentine-Mexican actress Christian Bach, who died on February 26, 2019, due to respiratory failure. As an actress on TV Azteca, she was noted for being adverse to doing " bed scenes", asking a body double to replace her in sex scenes. In 2010, González married Lorenzo Lazo Margáin. González was a columnist for the newspaper El Universal for more than a year, before leaving this job to star in the telenovela Doña Bárbara.

Illness and death

In 2016, ovarian cancer was detected, so she began receiving treatment to counteract it. She underwent surgery in which her ovaries, uterus and lymph nodes were removed, and in his own words, the cancer had been overcome. In April 2019, it was rumored that she had suffered a relapse; but the actress denied it.
At the end of May and beginning of June 2019, she spent a few weeks hospitalized at the Interlomas Ángeles hospital located in the State of Mexico, due to her cancer. On June 13, González died in that hospital at 54 years old, after being disconnected from the life support that kept her alive after being declared brain dead as a result of her illness. Her funeral was held the same day at the French Pantheon of San Joaquin. The next day, her coffin was taken to the Jorge Negrete theater, where a tribute was paid to her body. Subsequently, her remains were transferred to the Parque Memorial Gayosso pantheon, located in Naucalpan de Juárez, State of Mexico, where she was buried next to his father.
