Eastern Raron District

Contenido The district of Eastern Rarogne (in German Bezirk Östlich Raron, in French district de Rarogne oriental) is one of the fourteen districts of the canton of Valais, Switzerland, located to the east of the canton. The district capital is the commune of Mörel-Filet.
Geography
The district is located in the Upper Valais region (Oberwallis/Haut-Valais), which has a majority Swiss-German population. The district is bordered to the northeast by the district of Goms, to the southeast by the Province of Verbano Cusio Ossola (ITA), and to the west by the district of Brig.
