Dune Chapter House is the sixth book in the Dune saga by Frank Herbert, and the last one written before his death in 1986. This novel is the culmination of the saga and although not the last, (Hunters of Dune, 2006, Brian Herbert), it is written in the original prose, the unique prose that Herbert used to expose the complicated characters from his universe.

Synopsis

The planet Dune, or Arrakis, has been destroyed by the Honored Matres. The Bene Gesserit, pressured but resisting, have regrouped at the Chapter House. This planet is the most important and headquarters of the Bene Gesserit Brotherhood. Here, with the only sandworm rescued before the catastrophe on Arrakis, they plan to turn this placid world of orchards and farms into a desert, Chapterhouse will be the new planet Dune.
