Ductal carcinoma, a neoplasm whose cells are confined inside a duct.Applied to breast cancer, ductal carcinomas can be:

  • Carcinoma ductal 'in situ' o intraductal: it is studied as Tis and by definition has no capacity to cross the basal membrane of the glandular epithelium, so it cannot spread to the nodes of the armpit. Therefore in the treatment, it is not indicated to perform an axillary vaciation.
  • Carcinoma ductal infiltrator: This type of cancer has surpassed the basal membrane and can spread throughout the body if you contact lymph vessels and blood vessels. In the face of this diagnosis, axillary vaciation is required.

Pancreatic ductal carcinoma can appear as a form of pancreatic cancer.
