Droid fighter
The droid fighters or vulture droids were droids used by the powerful monopoly Trade Federation and later used by the Separatist allies in the War of War saga. the galaxies.
The Trade Federation purchased a large number of these androids from the Char Cathedral Factories company, which were housed on the Lucrehulk cruise ships. These robots had two ways in which they could transform depending on the combat situation they were in:
- They could be small-sized hunts, with the ability to go at great speeds pro-space and thus destroy other enemy fighters.
- They could also descend to the ground and become huge robots, which disintegrated with their twin cannons to all who crossed their way or performed reconnaissance functions.
In the Battle of Naboo thousands of Federation droid fighters fought against Naboo N-1 starfighters, shooting down many. But the ones that inflicted the most casualties on the Naboo starfighters were actually the quad lasers from the main control ship of the Trade Federation.
During the Clone Wars droid fighters continued to be used and fought alongside Geonoosian starfighters against the Galactic Republic and for Separatist ideals. Late in the war, Xi-Char was purchased by the Techno Union, and the Techno Union began manufacturing them more efficiently.
They were nicknamed "vulture droids" because they resembled these animals. As they were produced by various industries, their color changed, from the classic brown used by the Federation, they went to blue and black because these were the colors of the CSI.
During the siege of the planet Coruscant, hundreds of these androids guarded The Invisible Hand, a flagship of the Separatist Army. Certain modifications allowed droid starfighters to carry four missiles loaded with bee droids. One of these fired its charge, which emptied on top of General Obi-Wan Kenobi's fighter. Immediately, the small droids damaged all of her systems, although Kenobi managed to survive.
Droid starfighters also fought on the planet Utapau to repel the Galactic Republic forces and thus allow the escape of the Separatist Council and General Grievous, though the latter was later killed by Obi-Wan.
After the war ended, these androids were decommissioned and used for scrap.
