Don Pimpón is a character from Sesame Street played by actor Alfonso Vallejo. The Spanish version of the 1980s included characters like Espinete or Chema the baker.

Although it is widely believed that it symbolized an owl, the character's design is based on Vallejo's own appearance, as recounted by the actor.

He was the traveling character of the series. Together with his friend, the majarás of Kapurthala, they undertook adventures around the world to later return to the neighborhood to expose them in an educational way.

The only song he sang as a soloist was "La canción de Don Pimpón".

The characters of Sesame Street were created in Jim Henson's workshops and were maintained by the Reyes brothers, artisans who in turn created the Electroduendes, of The Crystal Ball and the dolls, predecessors of the dolls in The puppet news.
