Diana Uribe Forero (Bogotá, March 30, 1959) is a chronicler, broadcaster, podcaster and broadcaster of Colombian history who has specialized in historical outreach programs. She is known for her radio shows, podcasts, lectures, and her audiobooks on world history.

Biography

He studied philosophy and letters at the Universidad de los Andes, where he graduated with a thesis on the youth movements of the 1960s.

Her work in the media began as an international analyst at the now-defunct Radionet network. From there he went to Caracol Radio with a program on weekends called The history of the world . She was also an international analyst during the beginning of the 2003 invasion of Iraq for the Caracol Televisión newscast and has worked on other projects for this network, as a guest on the program Entre ojos. Since October 2018, together with the team from La Casa de la Historia and La historia del mundo , she has been conducting the DianaUribe.fm podcast.

In 2008 he presented his first audiobook, The history of civilizations, where he takes a tour of some moments in the history of humanity; in 2009 he published the second, called The history of independence , focused on Latin American independence in the 19th century; in 2011 the third, The story in the trips, which deals with Russia, Turkey and South Africa; In 2013 he published the app The Story Game .

Uribe is a specialist in the counterculture movements of the 1960s. He is also interested in the permanence of myths and legends in contemporary imaginaries, particularly in oral literature.
