The three districts

The country has a total population of 32,020 people according to the 2000 census, and they are grouped in three historic districts and 10 electoral neighborhoods. The number of inhabitants varies between districts. The most populated part is the central part of the country, the City of Monaco.

According to the 2000 Monaco Census, Larvotto is the most populous neighborhood in the principality with 5,443 inhabitants, while Monaco-Ville is the least populated with 1,034 inhabitants.
