Demetrio Herrera Sevillano (Panama, November 27, 1902 - October 9, 1950) was a Panamanian avant-garde poet.

He was the son of a Colombian father and a Panamanian mother. As a boy he was humble and had little primary education. He lived in the old neighborhood of Santa Ana. He obtained his knowledge of the avant-garde currents through his own effort.

In 1949 he obtained third place in the Ricardo Miró Prize with glass.
