DDT
El DDT was a comics magazine, mainly comics, from the Spanish publisher Bruguera that was published weekly between 1951 and 1978. There were three other Bruguera magazines associated with El DDT: El DDT Humor Selections (1957-1959), El DDT Comics Supplement (1959) and Super DDT (1973-1981). magazine "The DDT" had three distinct periods:
First period (1951-10/26/1964)
DDT appeared in May 1951, after the editorial failures of "El Campeón" (1948-1949) and "Super Tom Thumb" (1949-1951) Argentinian Rico Tipo and was conceived for an adult audience, which, in practice, meant few differences with the rest of the publisher's publications, more oriented towards children: the censorship of the time allowed a very narrow margin of manoeuvre. Some faded erotic allusions, without straying from the prevailing prudishness, and the presence of singles, were its distinctive signs.
The covers of the first installments were drawn by Cifré and Peñarroya Other important Bruguera authors collaborated on it, such as Carlos Conti, Vázquez, or the editorial director himself, Rafael González Martínez. Unlike other magazines of the publishing house, it gave great interest to the non-comics sections, especially humorous ones. One of his contributions was the fixed section of humorous texts Diálogos para besugos, written by Armando Matías Guiu. His most notable series were the following:
