Dagobah
Dagobah (pronounced /dégoba/) is a fictional planet and a namesake star system featured in the Star Wars films The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. In the franchise, it was described as a distant planet filled with swamps and forests, and served as a refuge for Master Yoda during his exile after the destruction of the Jedi Order. It was there that Luke Skywalker received advanced training in the ways of the Force under the tutelage of Jedi Master Yoda and would later witness his death and bond with the Force.
History
After Emperor Palpatine known as The Senate or Darth Sidious, Darth Vader and his clone army wiped out nearly all of the Jedi, Master Yoda took refuge in the swamps of Dagobah, where the vast amount of life on the planet and the Dark Side Cave, allowed him to hide from the Sith and the Galactic Empire. In The Empire Strikes Back , Luke Skywalker is visited on the ice planet of Hoth by the spirit of Obi-Wan Kenobi, who tells him that he has to meet Yoda on Dagobah so that he can teach him how to be a jedi
He left in his X-Wing ship, along with the robot R2-D2, after Vader and his troops attacked the Rebel base on Hoth. There he continues his training as a Jedi, but Skywalker has to leave Dagobah without finishing his training to try to rescue Han Solo, Princess Leia Organa and Chewbacca, who he sensed were in danger on the planet Bespin. Skywalker will return to Dagobah in Return of the Jedi , where he has one last conversation with Yoda, until his death. He then speaks at length with Kenobi's soul about the parental relationship between him and Vader.
In Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II, the Starkiller clone travels to Dagobah. There he meets Yoda, who tells him that he must enter the Cave of Evil, where he faces his fears and where he has a vision of the future.
