Cuando Cubango Province
Cuando Cubango, also known as Kuando Kubango, is one of the 18 provinces of Angola. It is located in the extreme southeast and is a border region with Namibia and Zambia.

Geography
It has an area of 199,049 km² and a population of approximately 140,000. Menongue is the capital of the province.
The name of the province derives from the name of two rivers, Cuando and Cubango, which flow through the east and west of the province, respectively.

- Municipality of Calai:
- Calai, Maúe and Mavengue.
- Municipality of Cuangar:
- Quangar, Savate and Bondo.
- Municipality of Cuchi:
- Cuchi, Cutato, Chinguanja and Muila.
- Municipality of Cuito Cuanavale:
- Cuito Cuanavale, Longa, Lupire and Baixo Longa.
- Municipalities of Dirico:
- Dirico, Xamavera and Mucusso.
- Municipality of Mavinga:
- Mavinga, Cunjamba Tell me, Cutuile and Luengue.
- Municipality Menongue:
- Menongue, Cueio and Caiundo.
- Municipality of Nancova:
- Nancova and Rito.
- Municipality of Rivungo:
- Rivungo, Luiana and Chipundo Neriquinha.
Economy
Region rich in natural resources, favorable to the development of tourist activities, such as hunting, opening restaurants, recreation camps, among other options. The municipalities of Rivungo, Mavinga, Dirico and Cuangar will benefit from the Okavango-Zambezi cross-border project.
The province of Kuando Kubango has, along the Okavango basin, the partial reserve in Mavinga, with 8,000 square kilometers and that of Luina, with 5,950 square kilometers.
Environment
The province is characterized by three zones of great vegetation, composed mostly of a dense dry forest, savannah with trees and shrubs in its northern half, the savannah of shrubs, forests and swamps in the southern strip and the savannah of shrubs in the northwest quadrant:
- Luiana partial reserve, established on 17 September 1966, with 8,400 km2 extension.
- Mavinga partial reserve established on 17 September 1966, with 5,950 km2 extension.
- Coutada Pública (region) de Mukusso created on 15 July 1959, with 25,000 km2 extension-
- Coutada Pública (region) de Luiana created on 15 July 1959, with 13,950 km2 extension.
- Coutada Pública (region) de Luengue created on 15 July 1959, with 16,700 km2 extension.
- Coutada Pública (region) de Mavinga Created on 6 July 1960 with 28,750 km2 extension;.
- Cuelei regional natural park, with 4500 km2 of extension.
