Contenido Coriolanus (original English title, Coriolanus) is a tragedy by William Shakespeare, believed to be which was written between 1605 and 1608. The tragedy is considered to be one of the last two tragedies written by Shakespeare along with Antony and Cleopatra.
The tragedy revolves around Gaius Marcius Coriolanus, a brilliant Republic-era Roman general who is banished from Rome and leads an assault on the city. Only the plea of his mother prevents him from devastating Rome. A change of heart that leads to his death.
