Conventional weapons are those whose operating principle is not based, even in part, on ABQ technologies. It is often used as an antonym for nuclear weapons.

Certain weapons, such as depleted uranium (DU) kinetic energy projectiles with increased mass, are of dubious categorization although generally considered conventional weapons.
