Konsole is a terminal emulator, developed for the free KDE desktop project.

It is highly integrated with the environment, and supports multiple sessions in tabs, editing operations (copy and paste, text dragging, etc), bookmarks, printing, etc. The KDE applications Konqueror, Kate, and KDevelop use Konsole as a KPart to easily include their terminal functionality.

Konsole was started by Lars Doelle, and is maintained by Waldo Bastian.

KDE applications, including Dolphin, Kate, KDevelop, Kile,Konversation, Konqueror, and Krusader, use the Konsole to provide integrated terminal functionality via KParts.
