The term capacitor can have different meanings.

  • A Thermal capacitor is a heat exchanger between fluids, so as one of them cools, passing from gaseous state to liquid state, the other warms up. They are manufactured in different sizes and arrangements to be used in numerous thermal processes.
  • A electric capacitor is a set of two conductor surfaces in total influence, usually separated by a dielectric material, which serves to store energy electric.
  • A condenser of magnetic flows and variable radio frequencies. In aerodynamics they are used for the construction of satellite devices, due to their low weight and dimensions.
  • In chemistry lab, a Cooling tube.
  • In optical microscopy a Condensor (microscopy) is a lens system that concentrates the beams of light below the sample you want to observe.
