Creation and development
Standard Galactic Alphabet
The standard galactic alphabet, also known as "AGE" or "SGA" by its English name, is the writing system used by the aliens in Commander Keen. The player has his first contact with the galactic alphabet in the first Commander Keen game, Marooned on Mars. It is a replacement language created by Tom Hall for the Commander Keen saga. In Keen 1 he designed some images for Exit signs and the language consisted of slightly altering the Latin characters, after which he added other signs indicating "hello"; and "this is order", until it ends up creating conversations and all kinds of alien-looking signs of the Latin alphabet. The standard galactic alphabet appears in Minecraft as part of the enchantment system.
