Codegua
Codegua is a commune in Chile, located in the Libertador General Bernardo O'Higgins Region, specifically in the Cachapoal Province, in central Chile. It is located 19 km north of the city of Rancagua. The surface of the commune covers 287 km². Together with the communes of Graneros and Mostazal, Codegua integrates the Northern Cone area of the Libertador General Bernardo O'Higgins Region.
History
The natives called the place "Co-Deu y Hue", which means "place of rat waters".
Around 1565 the place was recognized by the Spanish as a region belonging to "la encomienda de Codehua", populated by indigenous people who were part of the promaucae tribe known as chiquillanes or chiquilanes. One of the oldest towns in Chile records in 1300 d. The indigenous workforce is attested after finding vestiges of Inca interventions in a nearby pucará. Codegua is formed as a town after the abolition of the Codegua encomienda, and in 1639 it began to be populated by Spaniards.

Football
The Codegua commune has had a club participating in the National Soccer Championships in Chile.

Basketball

Zumba
