Chuchi Cos
Jesús Gómez Cos (Maliaño, Cantabria, October 26, 1968), better known as Chuchi Cos, is a former Spanish soccer player and current coach.
Career
In his time as a player he played for Barakaldo, Xerez, Numancia, Pontevedra, Noja and Tropezón.
He started coaching the Palamós Football Club in the 2001-02 season.
In the middle of the following season he trains Racing de Santander. With this team he debuted on the benches of the First Division of the Spanish Soccer League on January 26, 2003 in the match Osasuna 3-1 Racing.
In 2003 he signed for Deportivo Alavés. With this team he achieved promotion to the First Division in the 04-05 season. After rising with Alavés, he resigns to work as an advisor to president Dmitry Piterman and begins coaching the Rafael Monfort team. But after just one month, he is dismissed and Chuchi Cos returns to the bench, although he would also end up being fired, although in a more friendly way, since he would later return to being the team's coach.
He was fired again from Alavés by Piterman on January 8, 2007, who replaced him with Fabri.
Chuchi Cos has always been Dmitry Piterman's favorite coach, as he has coached all the teams in which the Ukrainian-American has been president.
