Chilean National Art Award

The National Art Award of Chile was created by Law No. 7,368 promulgated on November 9, 1942. It was awarded annually since 1944 and alternated between painting or sculpture, music and theater.

In 1992, it was replaced by the national prizes for Plastic Arts, Musical Arts, and Performing and Audiovisual Arts by Law No. 19,169. It was part of the Chilean National Awards.
